  • Failed Journey

After arriving home from class, I made a few routine phone calls to some friends. Most of them were busy with work or were studying for a test this week. A random call arrived, I was asked if I wanted to go to Tiger Ridge. Curiously I answered, "What is Tiger Ridge?". Well, it turns out that Tiger Ridge is an area of land that contains the largest group of inbred people in the world. Being that it was only an hour or so away I agree'd to go. My friend arrived promptly as I finished some marijuana. I felt that it was only necessary to examine these particular folks with an altered state of perception. On our way we faced some complications. My friend Ryan, could not find out exactly where it was in Guyton. So we made a few phone calls. From the vague memories of an old school teacher we searched and searched the area. We contacted him once more and he said that he hadn't been there in about 20 years. From there we decided to go to some conveinice stores at the center of town and ask for directions. We generally received a confused response from one store, concluding that we may be in the wrong place. With strongest intent that the people may be hiding it from shame, we asked at another conveinice store across the highway. The first person we asked at the second store was a young man sweeping outside. He seemed nervous and quickly stopped his task to direct us to an eldar man. When asking the man for the directions to this fabled place he replied, "I ain't sendin' yah' in those woods. You might go in, but you might not come out". Baffled by the sheer cliche of it all, we left. Back in the car, we talked how the old man's speech filled us with an amazing curiousity that made us determined to find this spot. We searched for about an hour and gave up. When returning to my place there was an agreement made that we would find these people and enjoy observing their clever shapes and cultures. Though next time we should bring someone along who has been there before.

  • America's Economy(Input Please!!)

    Calling all Xanga friends.

I'm looking for your thoughts and opinions of America's current economy. Do you believe our government should intervene in such a socialistic manner?

According to the Marxist theory, it goes Capitalism, Socialism, Communism. Will the government eventually gain power to control us in a communistic way? Is it all heading in this direction? What steps can we take to prevent it?
