America's Economy(Input Please!!)
Calling all Xanga friends.
I'm looking for your thoughts and opinions of America's current economy. Do you believe our government should intervene in such a socialistic manner?
According to the Marxist theory, it goes Capitalism, Socialism, Communism. Will the government eventually gain power to control us in a communistic way? Is it all heading in this direction? What steps can we take to prevent it?

The "bailouts" are nothing but robbery. The Wall St. terrorists have controlled the government covertly for quite a while. Now they've publicly taken over. They've blackmailed the government into handing our tax money directly over to them. I think it may be one of those times that Jefferson spoke about...
Many economists claim that these bailouts are huge investments, with high interest rates. Our national debt is tremendous, but if these bailouts pay off, it may be the most effective way to relieve the recession. Desperate times, desperate measures. However, I'm not in full agreement that our government should do this sort of thing.
@Monastro - What times did Jackson speak of?
I'm still largely ignorant, heh.
Thomas Jefferson said:
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
@Monastro - It has been speculated in recent years that a civil war would break out. Though I think the American people will eventually come to their senses before that takes place. There is at least one government official we could elect that would bring the necessary change to America. Sadly, it definitely won't come this election season. Perhaps in four years after the next president has showed no progress. Something will stop this. Apathy can't control the country at this point.
@Tricycle08 - People won't take action until they start feeling some pain. Unfortunately, by the time it hurts it may be too late...
@Monastro - Or the economy will begin to rebound from this deal their proposing. Who knows how this federal loan will turn out. I have no idea what this transaction entails. I suppose the main point should be that the government should not be meddling in this whatsoever. Certain states have plans that would reimburse the insurance companies, or at least that's what I've heard. Therefore the AIG agreement was not for the obvious reasons. It just keeps sounding like bullshit more and more each day. I just don't want America becoming comfortable or confident in these socialistc deals, that's the worst that could happen.
